Gotta love his speech. He get's it. The few miles that we put on our collector cars doesn't do squat for harming the environment. I hope we can keep this thread non- political so it can stay in General. Thanks for the link.

Dumb all the way, but typical CA:
I drive my car about 1500 miles a year...if that.
There are probably ride along mowers that have more miles than that in a year.

$4 a dozen for eggs is getting up there but the White house doesn't control those prices.
Egg prices are high due to a combination of factors, including:
- Bird flu
The H5N1 strain of avian influenza, or bird flu, has killed millions of birds in the United States since early 2022. This has reduced the number of egg-laying chickens, which has caused an egg shortage and pushed up prices. It can take six months for a chicken farm to replace its chickens and get them laying eggs again. - Inflationary pressures
Higher prices for fuel, packaging, labor, and feed can increase the cost of the finished product. - Supply and demand
When the supply of a product is low and the demand is high, prices tend to increase. Eggs are an integral part of the American diet, so most people buy them regardless of the price.
Egg prices will remain volatile until producers rebuild their flocks and increase egg production.

Our Gas is pretty reasonable too. Not bad for a day before Thanksgiving.

The last year I operated my truck, I was able to obtain a huge rate increase as a result of the wave of driver retirements during Covid. I was about to become one of them, but I talked with the owner of the company I leased to, and agreed to work through the next year if he could get better pricing. He did, and then some. The same economic forces were at work thoughout the trucking industry, and drove the increase in shipping costs we've experienced in recent years. Friends of mine who are still working say rates are starting to weaken.

Our cars aren't going anywhere in this country, I couldn't speak for the president of California and their loyal subjects .......... I've found that the way for change to be achieved is to let those that think things are great, starve to death. It seem to be working, things changed a few weeks ago. Many jumped ship before they didn't have the strength to reach the rail.........

When they require ALL politicians (except the POTUS) to travel coach air... then we can have a discussion. And only then.
